The BI-ZTU, a new autotitrator acccessory designed specifically for the Brookhaven ZetaPlus and ZetaPALS zeta potential analyzers, is ideal for automatic determination of electrophoretic mobility, zeta potentials and the isoelectric point (IEP) of colloidal materials and nanoparticles.


Four separate pumps provide unparalled flexibility for optimizing reagent dosage. For example, dilute acid and base can be used for precise mid-range pH control while higher concentrations are used to speed adjustment at either end of the range. The overall pH range is from pH 2 to pH 12.


The BI-ZTU can be used to evaluate the effect on zeta potential of ionic strength or concentration of surfactants and other additives thus enabling processes and product performance to be optimised while using minimum quantities of possibly expensive chemicals.
