BI-SFS Sample Filtration System

Dust is one of the most common sources of error in light scattering measurements.

The new BI-SFS Sample Filtration System provides a fast and convenient way to clean samples for light scattering. It is particularly valuable for very small particles, say less than 20nm, and for polymer solutions in static light scattering applications.

Utilising Teflon® tubing and nonreactive components, the BI-SFS is compatible with most sample filtration needs. Its modular design allows pump heads to be changed to optimise flow rates for different applications. Samples can usually be processed in as little as 3 minutes.

The adjustable clamp allows a wide range of disposable filters to be used. Depending on the application and the solvent, either a single disposable filter or a series of filters in tandem can be used.
